Orbis takes part in the World Innovation Summit for Health - Sign up!

From the 15th – 19th November, the World Innovation Summit for Health (WISH) is taking place, bringing together leading experts to discuss some of the world’s most pressing health challenges.

With 40 evidence-based reports being published, the impressive event looks to influence health policies on a global level. Usually held in Qatar every two years, 2020's summit is being held remotely, opening up the topics and issues discussed to people from the comfort of their own home.

Her Royal Highness the Countess of Wessex Announced as a Speaker at Wish

On the 19th November, Her Royal Highness, The Countess of Wessex will be taking part in a forum on the ‘Role of Schools in Child and Adolescent Health’ as global ambassador to the International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness. Over the last few years, we have been proud to welcome Her Royal Highness to our programmes in Bangladesh and India, where she learnt about our work developing services for premature babies through to grandparents. Orbis Board Member Robert Walters Participates in Panel Discussion

On the 15th November, Mr Robert Walters, consultant ophthalmologist, Orbis Volunteer and Chairman of Orbis in the Middle East, took part in a panel discussion on ‘The pathway to localisation: the importance of building health capacity in developing countries’ with Qatar Charity and The Qatar Fund for Development.
