The Rose Rayhaan By Rotana Hotel in Dubai is providing a home away from home for Orbis staff during our Flying Eye Hospital's visit to the city. Thanks to their hospitality and discounted services, our team will be able to focus on raising vital awareness of the issue of avoidable blindness worldwide.

Oryx Rotana provided Orbis with vital free and discounted services during key awareness raising events, such as the visits of the Orbis Flying Eye Hospital to Doha, as well as the visits by HRH The Duchess of Edinburgh as the Global Ambassador for the International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness.

Oryx Rotana's staff found innovative ways to draw attention to our cause and raise funds to contribute to the Orbis campaign led by Qatar Charity – such as hosting blindfolded dinners, coin collections and informative videos in the rooms.

Additionally in 2018, the Hotel hosted an 'Inter-schools blindfolded bonanza' to raise awareness of our work, for three local schools including blindfolded activities, games and a food tasting.
